    Hello all,

I was wondering, is there a way to import your linkedin/facebook/last.fm/digg contacts into delicious?
So you can start sharing bookmarks without the need of searching them to find them on the delicious network first.

    Thnx for the replies

    Kind Regards,
    Frederiek

Thanks for the question. There isn't a way to do this currently, though making it easier to find your friends and contacts on delicious is a priority on our roadmap.

I would really like to see improvement in the ability to find friends. For a social bookmarking service, it's hard to find people that you may already know.

agreed, this is a fantastic tool for bookmarking and carrying your bookmarks across computers. But the social part of it is hardly present, since you cannot find people that you already know without asking them "what is your delicious handle?" E-mail importer etc. this would be fantastic.
    Thank you

It's a requirement to me. Today i'm looking for a del.icio.us alternative because i think social bookmarking site needs to be "social". And send an email to your friends asking for their del.icio.us username is a very old way to make "socialize" your bookmarks on the internet.

Please keep me update about this feature, i really like your site and i want to stay working on it.

We still have this in mind as a feature for the future. There's more discussion here: http://support.delicious.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=584
