First off, respect on the new site, it is 100% better and looks snazzy, slick and cool.
HOWEVER, deleting a tag is a nightmare. Currently it takes SIX clicks (minimum) to delete a tag. Can't you simplifiy this somehow? I would have expected around 2/3.

how about a way to batch delete bookmarks as well. I am new to delicious and I imported 400 bookmarks and realized that I want to start over. I have spent about 2 hours of my life trying to find a way to delete 400 bookmarks. At 6 clicks a piece that's 2400 clicks. Unreasonable in any country. Please add this functionality.
We recently released a bulk edit feature which makes it easy to delete a bunch of bookmarks at once. From the top right of your bookmarks page, click "Bulk edit (beta)". You'll see a new little blue bar that lets you delete all the bookmarks on the current page.
If you choose the option (right below the bottom of your bookmarks) to show 100 bookmarks per page, it'll only take a few clicks to delete your unwanted bookmarks.
and what about bulk TAG-deleting ? I just imported 1780 bookmarks and unfortunately (I didnt know what nonsense this will cause) clicked on YES to add TAGS. I thought this means I will be asked which kind of tags I would like to add by MYSELF. instead of that, the system added a plethora of nonsense tags. so I wanna get rid off all those tags entirely. how to ? u want me to click 6 x 1780 times ? sorry thats a bit ridiculous isnt it ? hard to believe that such a well-known website is still so much user-unfriendly after all those years.....
asiawolfie: Have you looked into using the bulk edit feature? Or you may want to try importing the file again, choosing the option to "Replace my Delicious bookmark with the imported one", and not selecting the option to add tags. Another option is to delete your account and re-register the same username (which you can do right away), to start fresh. I'm sorry this was confusing; we're working on improving the import process.

@britta: I think you misunderstood the problem here. It's not about bookmarks it's about TAGS. And deleting them is pain in the a**. Please implement the Bulk Edit feature to the TAGS too, then everybody is happy.
The bulk edit feature can delete tags as well as bookmarks: when you click "Bulk edit", you get options to "Add Tag" and "Remove Tag". It doesn't have an option to "delete all tags" though - would you like to see an option like that?
asiawolfie - if it's just the tags you want to get rid off, and not the bookmarks, you can use the tag delete option in settings (or tag rename if it's more appropriate for your needs). https://secure.delicious.com/settings/tags/delete This will delete (or rename) the selected tag from any bookmark that has that tag, but leave the bookmark intact. If you just want to update/delete on selected bookmarks, you can filter your bookmarks by that tag, select to view a larger number per page and then, as Britta suggests, use the Bulk Edit option.
